TotalEnergies EP Nederland B.V.

Our activities
TotalEnergies EP Nederland is a major gas producer in the Netherlands, with an annual production of approximately 2 billion cubic metres, around 20% of Dutch residential consumption. We have a workforce of around 165 permanent employees and indirectly provide work for at least a further 200 people. TotalEnergies EP Nederland has been engaged in the exploration and production of natural gas onshore in the Netherlands (until 2004) and offshore in the Dutch sector of the North Sea since 1964. Our offshore production installations are located between 80 and 150 km. northwest of Den Helder. From here we provide logistic support to our offshore operations and remotely monitor and control the gas production from 15 offshore platforms and 4 subsea production installations. We use a walk-to-work vessel, helicopters, and supply vessels to transport our crews and goods between our offshore installations and shore. Our headquarters, where most support functions are based, is in The Hague.

As a subsidiary of TotalEnergies S.E., one of the world’s largest integrated energy companies, TotalEnergies EP Nederland has access to the latest expertise and innovations in gas production and exploration technologies. These helps ensure that we can continue to produce gas from some of the world’s most mature fields in the North Sea area.

Our people
Safety is the core value of TotalEnergies and in the heart of everything we do daily with the aim to bring our people home safely at the end of each working day. Pioneering spirit, a constant drive to innovate and challenge the status quo are the elements that make up our unique culture in the Netherlands.

Our responsibility
TotalEnergies is transforming and reinforces its ambition to be a world-class player in the energy transition and to get to net zero in 2050, together with society. Carbon Capture & Storage (CCS) is one of the solutions to reach our target. As TotalEnergies EP Nederland we contribute to the Company’s ambition with our participation in the Aramis project

Within just a few years, there were at least four major players (NAM, Chevron, Mobil and BP) actively exploring for oil and gas in the Netherlands.
